Większość osób testujących Ubuntu 10.10 zauważa zapewne poważny problem. Brak repozytorium Medibuntu.org utrudnia korzystanie z nowego systemu operacyjnego. Jest jednak prosty sposób na tymczasowe obejście owego zamieszania.
Niezalecane, ale skuteczne okazuje się wykorzystywanie paczek dla Lucid Lynx.
Dodajemy repozytorium edytując plik /etc/apt/sources.list
gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
na początku dodajemy adres:

deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ lucid free non-free
########
zapisujemy i zamykamy edytor.
Kolejny krok to aktualizacja, oraz doinstalowanie klucza poleceniem:
sudo apt-get --yes --quiet --allow-unauthenticated install medibuntu-keyring && sudo apt-get --quiet update
